Valentine's Day!

The Valentine's Day meetup was (somewhat accidentally) scheduled for Super Bowl Sunday this year, so there weren't nearly as many people there as last year, but we still had plenty of fun! I spent all day yesterday making miniature doughnut cookies and lemon meringue tarts with my bffs M and S. I seriously spent 12 hours working on these things; the huge mess in the kitchen was cleaned up this morning before I went to the meet (it took about an hour just to do all the dishes).

My new Lohi drew some attention and I got to play with some lovely EIDs (Kamau in Ebony Skin is high up on my wishlist). I also wound up committing to buy a pair of Spiritdoll jointed hands for Hope! It was rather serendipitous, really. I got to try them on, and aside from Hope's seriously skinny wrists and forearms (which are skinny even with his regular hands) they look pretty good. I'll probably sand down the nails a bit, as they are rather pointy. But I'm excited to finally have some, and since I don't have to pay shipping, I'm getting them for less than I would've spent on the Doll Leaves ones!
